Liang HE

About

Liang He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Technology from Nanjing University in 2005, 2008, and 2025, respectively. He is currently a Research Assistant Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Nanjing University, and serves as a board member of the Nanjing University New Technology Alumni Association.

Previously, he worked at Samsung Electronics as a Software Architect and Principal Engineer, where he also served as the Director of the AI Architecture Committee and Director of the Data Analysis Laboratory. He has 20 years of technical experience and project accumulation in fields such as artificial intelligence, natural language processing, machine learning, knowledge graphs, and big data analysis. During his tenure at Samsung Electronics, he led the development of the company's first and largest general-purpose knowledge graph and was a core team member in the R&D of Samsung's new-generation AI assistant, Bixby.

Since late 2022, he has led his team in focusing on the research and industrial application of large language models, winning the 2023 JSAI Science and Technology Award and the 2025 JCS Science and Technology Award, First Prize. He has filed over 20 domestic and international invention patents and has published more than ten papers in the past five years at leading international academic conferences, including ACM Multimedia, AAAI, CIKM, NAACL, ISWC, and COLING.
